The room fell silent. Moments passed before Jack finally said ", what?" Hear took a deep breath before answering "my grandfather is Davie Jones. I found out last winter when he captured me."
"But he never fell in love with anyone but that one woman."
"He had another love, before that woman. My grandmother got washed up in a beach and died giving birth to my father. I merchant sailor picked him up. My father fell in love with Lady Christine, my mother."
"You're the runaway child of Lady Christine?"
"I believe that's what I said. Jones found my grandmother's body and followed the man who took me in, and found me. So the Kraken won't harm you, so CALM DOWN!" Voices were growing loud outside so Hear left to calm everyone down.
"Please trust me when I say you don't need to worry."
"What makes you so special that you KNOW the Kraken won't kill us? Why should we believe you?" asked Mr. Gibbs.
"Because I believe her, said a stern deep voice. Hear quickly turned around to find Jack. "Believe us, we are in no danger." Everyone, still sceptic, went back to what they were doing. "I could have handled it myself," said Hear and she left with a slight smile on her face.
Later that night, Hear found Jack on the deck of the Pearl looking over the bow. Hear hesitated and then walked up beside him. "Thanks for sticking up for me today," she said shyly.
"Well you don't need to trouble yourself with it," he replied.
"Without you, they never would have believed me."
" You could have gotten them all drunk," jack side with a wide grin. Hear just glared at Jack for the rude remark. " Don't get me wrong love. I admire a woman who's willing to do what is necessary." They both went back to looking at the water. "Now that I think about it, it sounds like something I would do," said Jack. Hear chuckled, but her smile quickly went away.
"Jack…" He turned to face her. " Do you ever wonder what I would be like to have someone, to actually fall in love and not just someone at every other port?'
"Do I detect some kind of vulnerability?" he said with a devilish grin.
"It's just a question!" Hear said sternly. Jack paused for a moment then said ", I do wonder occasionally; what it would be like to have a woman I could call me own." They silenced awhile then jack cleared his throat then said ", so you're Davie Jones granddaughter? That's interesting."
"When I met him, he told me about your deal with him. Ever since, he made me help with the search and capture of you."
"Then why haven't you turned me in yet?"
"Because he became greedy and selfish. Sure he gave me this ship and made this beautiful sword…" she showed Jack her sword. It had a silver handle with a rose wrapped around the rim, red tassel, and a hand guard that had had crisscrossing thorn covered vines "… but it was all out of greed; anything to that would benefit himself."
"Ahh," said Jack. He understood exactly what she was talking about.
"I've grown to despise him, and must break free, but the only way to do that is to kill him. That's why I need to Find Treasure Island."
"What's that have to do with anything?" asked Jack, now very confused.
"There's one part of the legend that no one knows. Silver died on that island; and on the spot were he was buried grows a deadly plant. It's a poisonous plant that, when it enters the blood stream, it slowly kills the victim. I plan to find to find this plant and shove it in his black heart. Then, he gets his heart; you get your life, your ship and 40% of the treasure; and I get my part of the treasure and my freedom." "Brilliant!" thought Jack with a smile.
