Once the doors closed Hear poured two glasses of rum and motioned Jack to sit in a near by chair. "Tell me; what do you know about the treasure of Long John Silver?" she asked looking Jack square in the face. "Only that it's never been found except by Silver himself. Why?" pondered Jack with a slur.
"Legend has it that Silver buried his treasure on a skull shaped island. Haunted by Sliver and everyone who dared to seek the loot of a thousand worlds," said Hear with a smile.
"I'm listening," said Jack looking attentively at Hear.
"Well, now that I have this compass…"
"MY compass."
"OUR compass. Now that I have it I intend to find Silver's glorious treasure!" Hear stared into Jack's eyes for a second then continued ", Now on to the business of splitting the treasure."
"50/50 of course," said Jack refilling his glass so much with rum it almost spilled over the top.
"Not quite, Captain Jack," replied Hear ", you see, I have done most of the work." "How so?" asked Jack between swigs. "I have located Jones's heart and it is safely locked away. And I have almost located the island, so I believe it will be 70/30."
"60/40, that's my final offer," said Jack with a smile then held out his hand.
"Agreed," and they both shook hands.
"Where did you say Jones's heart was?" asked Jack, standing up to leave.
"Safely with me. Do not try to pry it out of me Jack, because frankly I don't trust you," said Hear standing up. Jack walked up to her almost nose to nose. Hear felt woozy from the fouls stench of his breath. "Peas in a pod love," he said then staggered out of the room.
Back aboard the Black Pearl, Jack explained the situation to his crew. Everyone rejoiced in happiness at the thought of treasure.
A few days out and they've had nothing but blue skies and gusts of wind. "Gorgeous weather," said Mr. Gibbs. "Yes, but the weather at sea is as mysterious as a woman," replied Jack, and then he stared out at the Sangua Rosa.
"What's on your mind?" asked Will, who was listening in on the conversation. Jack snapped back to reality and looked at Will ", nothing you need to trouble your mind over." Jack went back to staring at the Sangua Rosa. Will could see a longing look in Jack's eyes and knew it was definitely more than nothing.
Hear was in her quarters when Jack stumbled in and readjusted himself. "You know, it's polite to knock," said Hear, not even lifting her head from her work. "Now isn't the time Hear!" replied Jack.
"What's gotten your trousers in a bunch this time?"
"It's the Kraken."
"You have no need to worry. It wont hurt you, even with your black spot."
"It's because of my black spot that the Kraken is here. We need to act now!"
"I assure you, the Kraken will not harm us! Now, please, calm yourself!"
"How can you be so sure?!"
"Because it's master is my grandfather!"
