Chapter 2

After a dangerous venture to the end of the Earth and putting the Black Pearl back together, Captain Jack Sparrow was up to his old tricks. Accompanied by Will Turner and Elizabeth, they set out to find Davie Jones's heart, for he was still on their tails.
"Steady West!" shouted Jack, when out of the corner of his eye he saw something on the horizon. He grabbed his spyglass just as the man in the crow's nest cried "Ship!" It was another vessel, red sail with black crosses, and a white hull with a gold trim, quickly coming in their direction. "Man to stations! Looks like we finally get some excitement!" Everyone scurried to their posts and readied to take on the oncoming ship. As it got closer, the men became excited and confused. The ship, it was filled with… women! It was like Tortuga on a boat!
Jack himself was a little shocked, but kept is cool.
"I thought it was bad luck to have women aboard a ship?" Will whispered into Jack's ear.
"So did I, but let's not ruin the moment!"
The ship with red sails still pressed on until the two vessels were side by side. Suddenly a woman from the visiting ship began to speak in a confident, but slightly hoarse, voice.
"Captain Jack Sparrow, what a pleasure. I've been looking for you." She was tall and slender, with golden blonde hair, and eyes so blue they went deeper than the sea.
"Well, then the pleasure is all mine miss…?"
"Captain Hear Dux, if you don't mind. I believe you have someone of mine Captain. Ahh, there she is." Jack looked back in the same direction as Hear; she was looking a Anna-Maria.
"You must be mistaken. Anna is, and always has been, apart of my crew"
"I'm very sorry Jack, but it is you who are mistaken. While you were stranded on that god forsaken island; Anna came to join my crew and signed a contract. A while later she left without my dismissal. She is still under contract and I would like her back."
Jack looked back at Anna and saw her shake her head slightly.
"I don't think she really wants to go with you Miss Dux, err Captain."
"Alright, fine. You are dismissed from the Dead Rose Gang."
"The Dead Rose Gang?" asked Elizabeth.
"Yes, the first and only woman pirates to sail the ocean. Queens of the sea," replied Hear.
The men from the Black Pearl started to snicker, but were interrupted by Anna ", Believe me; their bite is FAR more worse than their bark."
"Thank you. I don't know why you ever wanted to leave," said Hear. "Actually, I've heard that we're better than Barbossa's and your men combined. I mean just look at you. No order, no strength, and certainly no cleanliness. An your ship, please, don't get me started on the Black Pearl!"
"What's wrong wit 'er?" yelled Mr. Gibbs.
"Everything! It's old, it's worn, the sails are ripped, and the whole thing looks like it's about to fall apart."
"That's not true! She's still got life in 'er. I mean she came from the world's end!"
"I'll give you that, but I still stand by what I said. Well, I've got my business to attend to and you've got your ship to fix up, so the lady's and I will be on our way," Hear looked Jack in the eyes as she said this, and then turned to leave.
"Wait! Just wait one moment. My men and I have been sailing for quite some time and haven't had a good time in a while. How 'bout a drink, savvy?"
"I must talk it over with the rest of the crew," replied Hear. She turned and stepped out of sight. She returned a short while later and said," We'd love to."
