Never thought I'd see the day when Jack Sparrow falls in love," Davy went on. "Captain, CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow," said Will.
"Well, captain, you're coming with me. And you can thank your bonnie lass for taking me to you AND the treasure." "Is this true?" asked Elizabeth. Hear just looked at the ground. Jones motioned one of his crewmen to get Jack, who hadn't said a word the whole time.
When they boarded the Flying Dutchmen everyone was tied up, except Hear. Jones walked on deck and said with a smile "I see you've met my…" ", Granddaughter," interrupted Jack, it was the first thing he said in a while. "You told him?!" said Jones angrily.
"Hey, I wouldn't have had to if you didn't send the beast to follow us!" she replied. "Well," Jones walked over to Jack ", the beast doesn't have to wait any longer."
"Come on. You must have some idea for an escape," said Will to Jack
"Shut up you," Jones said to Will then he went back to Jack.
"Wait," Hear rushed over and stood by Jack ", wait. He loves me."
"And? What, you love him back?"
"No! I'm saying lets let him suffer a little bit longer. You must wait…" she looked at Jack "for the opportune moment." Jack bolted his head up and looked at Hear. He saw a just a hint of a smile. Davie Jones smirked at the idea of torturing Jack and agreed.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I have something for you." Hear reached for a sack and tossed it to her grandfather. When he caught it, the little bundle moved and everyone could hear a 'thump thump'. While Jones was gazing at his heart, Hear crept back to Jack and slipped him a knife. "I can't wait any longer! I want to see my pet devoir the Infamous Jack Sparrow!"
"Old beasties goin' to have to wait mate," said Jack and he slit his bindings. He ran up to Jones and drew his sword. "Hear! This is your doing!" he cried. Hear quickly went over and released Will and Elizabeth. Jones pulled out his own sword and went after Jack. Will rushed over to help his friend. More of Jones crew came to help their captain. As a respectable fight soon became a mosh pit of pirates, Jack somehow managed to break away. He ran to Hear who was about to join the fight. "No," he said stopping her "no. Take Elizabeth and get out of here. We'll hold them off."
"But you're out numbered! You'll never make it out alive!"
"GO!" Jack said sternly. Hear's eyes became glossed with tears. Then she turned and ran. Jack took one last look at her before heading back to the battle. Jack found Jones and resumed his ordeal. They fought for what felt like hours. Both Jack and Will were covered in blood; most of it was their own. Jack, very weak from all the blood loss, tried desperately to keep fighting.
"Looks like this is the end for you Captain Jack Sparrow," said Davie Jones. Jack fell to his knees, to weak to stand any longer and barely alive. Davie Jones slowly lifted his sword, like an executioner would his axe, nice and high. Jack lowered his head, as if he was giving up, and awaited his fate. Moments passed and Jones still did not strike. Then Jack heard something hit the floor of the deck. He raised his head and saw Davie Jones standing with his hand on his chest, blankness in his eyes. Jones fell to his knees and then to the floor. Jack couldn't believe his eyes. How did he die? But then he looked closely at Jones. Jack could see a dead rose inside Jones coat. Then he saw the bundle Hear gave her grandfather and then understood.
Hear ran into her cabin. She knelt by her bed and buried her face in her bed sheets. "Why?" she thought to herself ", why did I have to fall in love with him? Why did I practically MAKE him risk his life for mine?" Tears streamed down her face, so she whipped her face on her sleeve. As she did she noticed something on her pillow. It was a rose. Not a dead and blackened like Hear's roses, but red and freshly cut. She picked it up, wondering where it came from. Then came a deep, hoarse, yet soothing voice behind her ", A brave pirate once told me that a rose can mean many things. It can mean beauty, sorrow, romance. In this case; love." Hear turned around as a man came out of the shadows. She dropped the rose and ran into his arms. "Jack," she said softly "I thought you died."
"Luckily your plan worked."
Hear's eyes swelled with tears of happiness. "Now, now. There'll be none of that," said Jack whipping her tears away with his thumb. Hear gazed deep into Jack's eyes and he knew what the looked meant without her even saying a word. And she knew he felt the same way.
