Still following the stream, everyone started to become a little tired. "How much farther?" asked Elizabeth, who was out of breath. "Not much replied Hear. Then she stopped in her tracks. There in front of them stood the mouth of a large cave. "We're here," whispered Hear in awe. She quickened her pace and headed for the opening of the cave. "Will. You and Elizabeth stay here and guard the opening." "What for?" Will asked her. "Just in case," replied Hear. So Elizabeth and Will stayed outside. "Why do they have to stay behind?" asked Jack, not really wondering why. "Because it's said the Long John Silver's ghost haunts this cave."
"I don't believe in ghosts anymore."
"That's what Barbossa said about the cursed treasure and looked what happened to him."
They rounded a corner and there it was the loot of a thousand worlds. They both were in awe of the enormous cave that was layered in gold. Jack swayed over to a pile of shine, picked up a tiara and tried it on. "What do you think?" he asked Hear. She just giggled and shook her head. Jack frowned and said ", I thought it looked nice," then he threw it aside. While he was still looking around, Hear went deeper into the cave. She passed a waterfall then stopped abruptly. There in front of her was a crooked, wooden cross with the letters 'LJS' on it. Hear knelt down and pulled up the weeds around it.
Jack was just about to pick up a golden goblet when a sword was placed on his hand. "This is where our partnership ends I'm afraid," Hear said from behind him. Jack looked up the sword to meet her eyes. "I see greed has taken over you as well," he said in a low voice. He drew his own sword as he stood. Hear made the first move. Jack quickly blocked and jumped off a small cliff. Their swords still clashing Jack said ", I somehow knew it would come to this. I see a lot of myself in you love."
"Or maybe you see a lot of me in you?" Hear replied. Jack smiled, taking it the wrong way. She realized this and thrust her sword toward him, but it was denied by Jack's blade. They started to move toward the waterfall. Jack jumped over Hear's blade and almost fell in the water. "Funny, when I first met you, you pretty strong fancy for me. What happened between us?" he asked.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact that you USED me!"
"And you didn't when you got me drunk and stole my compass?"
"That's different!" Their swords made an 'X' and Jack pulled her close ", no missy. They are very much alike," he said and pushed her away. He ran to a pile of gold, picked up the top of a large golden pot and held it like a shield. Hear regained her balanced and drove her sword at Jack, but again was blocked. "I did like you. I thought you were a good captain, a good pirate, and a good man, but I guess I was wrong!" cried Hear. "I am to the first one, I am to the second one, and I'll take the last one as a compliment," replied Jack and tried for a hit, but no good. "You don't care about anyone else but yourself. You didn't even care about how I felt about you!" said Hear about to behead Jack. He replied ", what?' and quickly ducked. 'You didn't care how I felt about you!" She said again. "Has it ever occurred to you that maybe I DID know how you felt?!" then blocked an attack from Hear's attack from behind his back. It was Hear's turn to say 'What?" Jack blocked two more attacks, spun around and placed his sword under Hear's chin just as she did the same. The cave fell silent. All you could hear were their heavy breathing. Jack looked deep into Hear's eyes. His face became very contorted, like he was trying to make a very hard decision. "I can't do it,' he finally said lowering his sword.
"What are you doing?"
"I can't do it," he said again.
"What, you can't kill a woman?"
"No."
"Then what?"
"I can't kill the woman I love,' he said and threw his sword to the floor.
"Awwww. Isn't that something," said a deep voice. They both turned to see Davy Jones standing in the cave; Elizabeth in one hand and Will in the other.
