International Dead Man’s Chest Poster

Just over a week ago we had posted what we were told could be the first feature poster for the upcoming film "Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest". However, after posting the image we were alerted that though the image did belong to Disney, it was not necessarily anything 'official.' Thanks to a quick alert we discovered that the image was actually the cover of Disney's 2005 Annual Report and not the actual poster.

Well, it now looks like the image we posted is pretty close to the finalized version. Thanks to our good buddy 'RonJon', we have the international poster for Dead Man's Chest; and it shares some similarities to what we have seen before.

Though there are definitely some differences between the 2005 Annual Report cover and the finalized poster, we can at least say the Report gave us an indication of what to expect.

Featuring the same image of Jack, Will and Elizabeth, the poster features a dark green hue with more details placed on the ocean setting below.

The trailer briefly shows the arm of what looks to be a giant octopus as it breaks through the side of a ship. We can again see the arm coming out of the water in the poster above. If the special effects are up to par with the original Pirates then the 'octopus' creature should look pretty dang sweet.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest comes to theatres on July 7th, 2006.
